Quicker spool, holding boost longer, thats about all I know, havent realyl heard of any ill effects of one. As far as which one to get, best to talk to your tuner to see what he is comfortable with.

GS 3 port BCS is plug and play. No splicing of wires and comes with a bracket for your car.

All 3 port BCS work pretty much the same.

I went with the GS 3 port BCS and I like it.

+1. Grimmspeed BCS is arguably the best 3 port BCS out there right now and the easiest to install, it comes w/everything (even a mounting bracket), and is noise free.

GrimmSpeed

Just make sure to choose the one for the '06-07 WRX.

Import Image has the GS BCS for $98 ($11 cheaper): Import Image Racing: Grimmspeed 3-Port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid

Plug and play? Maybe easy install. But, I'm under the assumption that you've been tuned for it. Correct? Its that or you didn't pull the pill. With a 3 port. You don't need the pill. When you pull the pill....you'll need to adjust the WGDC tables. Because your wastegate duty cycles will be way to high for the 3 port. Which is why you should consult a tuner to properly tune it. Unless your really comfortable with messing with your tune.

Yea I forgot to include that a tune is required. My tuner installed it and tuned it right afterwards.
