Nevermind... OS

Go get a tune with a 3port BCS.
Why do you recommend a tune with a 3 port bcs and any 3port bcs recommendations

It will help with fluctuations in boost and will control drop-off/spikes.

The grimmspeed one comes to mind. It's way off topic either way. Not even sure you are going to do any mods on your car... lol

Nope. If you get a tune now it'll just be adding some boost and maybe tweaking the timing for more power. If you plan on buying parts for the car buy them all, install them all at once, and then get a tune. You pretty much have to tune for each part on the car so if you get a turboback exhaust and tune, then get a 3-port, you'll have to tune again. If you add a TMIC you don't HAVE to tune, but you get the advantages of the cooler charge temp then you tune again to get more power...

I've tuned 3 times... All my parts in my profile on 91 in Utah, again when I moved to NE for 93, and recently for E85.

Well for everything I want to do deff do not have the money for all the parts so I will probably do decent amount of parts more than one or two then tune then more parts and tune hopefully three tunes till the end. For right now I'm thinking turboback exhaust should I got 2.5 or full 3 inch? Cai and 3port bcs then tune maybe something else thrown in there but not sure what yet

That's a good start... A full 3" turbo back is the better option. Less backpressure the better when it comes to a turbo car. The CAI and 3-port are good additions before the first tune. CAI isn't really necessary at your power levels but it will add a couple ponies and sound excellent. As long as you're tuned for it I'd do it.

Ya I figured I would do a cai because you need a tune for it and it's not that expensive but am kinda iffy on it still because I heard the stock 08 wrx air intake is actually pretty good any other recommendations for parts you would do for first tune

Keep it simple for the first tune... TBE, CAI, 3-port, maybe a TMIC. That will keep you happy for a little while. Eventaully you'll want more power and the turbo is the next to go. You can get the turbo from an 09+ WRX for $450-500 if you look around enough, and it's a direct fitment.

Basically the setup above will get you to about equivalent, maybe a little more than stock 09+ WRX power on regular pump gas..

Ya i plan on doing turbo eventually but my thinking is why just go to a vf52 when i know down the line i will want bigger than the vf52 so i was thinking about doing a different turbo upgrade but not sure what. I would like a turbo that still has quick spool and low end power but some more of a top end then the td-04 has. Was thinking about doing a 68hta but heard they were better on the 2.0l engines than the 2.5l then i was thinking about doing a blouch full BB turbo but not sure which one. I would probably do a FMIC and a EWG during the turbo upgrade.

No, quite the opposite for the 08 intake.

1st tune- Downpipe, 3port, intake

Get the DP/intake/3 port first. At that point, it will make you grin from ear to ear for quite some time.

Then you WILL need other parts before more power (ie... Tires, sway(s), etc..)
