I have been plan on getting the COBB 2.0 Accessport for my 04 wrx but was told the factory threshold for the turbo was 17 psi but the Accessport gives 16.5 psi. I was wondering if this was a safe range for the factory turbo?

The factory boost cut is 17psi,not the turbo's max boost.A compressor efficiency map will tell you what that is.The Cobb AP will raise the boost cut to around 19-20psi
