Yeah, I'd have to drive out of my way a bit to fill up with E85. Not a hour...more like 15-20 mins. But, still...not in my daily route.

Yeah again if it's readily available then that's fine for those guys, but I can't even buy REAL race gas around here, I have to buy it at the track...Man this place sucks...I need to move.

Yes I knew a guy that had an E85 tuned EVO. Was a beautiful car. But he bought it from another person from Missouri I believe. Well apparently the couple places here in Kansas arent the same as where the car was orginally tuned by. Yeah, needless to say a little detonation, a blown engine, the guy is a proud owner of an 05 STI now instead. Just saying, really not worth it in the long run. Its great for you guys that have 1 or 2 stations close by, but until it shows more benefit for a DD, not worth it IMO, but thats just me.

Well when it first came out, it was REEEAAAALLL cheap, like $2 a gallon. Now that everyone uses it the price has gone up, shocker, and now it just isn't worth it unless your really pushing for high numbers.

I run E85 almost full time now a days, once in awhile ill run 92 to help keep the motor and fuel lines clean since E85 doesn't have any of the additives in it like pump gas does. I have to say my car feels a lot healthier on E85, much smoother, more power at every throttle level and just a lot easier to drive. As far as the cost the price is still low enough that if I figure I use 20% More then pump I'm still saving about 2 cents a gallon, not much but still worth it for more power and a better running car. So in my opinion if you have the availability it is worth it for a DD car.

Its all about the tuner as well, you need to find someone not only comfortable with tuning for it but you need someone with lots of experience with it. I'm lucky living in the NW to have Tim Bailey do my tuning, he tunes E85 all day long and swears by it. One thing about the mix being different every time "a lot of people claim" I think that its not so far off that your ecu can account for the difference just fine.

Well the stations that do carry it here in Ohio it's only $.18-$.20 cheaper than 93. So for me, even if it was readily available here, I won't be saving much. Also my gas mileage sucks over what yours does. I average about 19MPG so when you add it up, it sucks for me...haha

^^You are right Keith, you need to move. The e85 over here is like 38¢-40¢ cheaper than regular. Not that I can run it, but still.

Ohio is making Keith take it at the pump. Its like .15 cheaper here than regular which would be like 35-40 cents cheaper than premium.

Honestly it's just this small area I live in. Mid Ohio Valley is known for ripping off people in this area on just about everything. Sadly I go across the Ohio river to West Virgina to get gas because it's about $.05-$.06 cheaper a gallon, plus it's on my way to work.
