I have an 02 wrx, I found a Cobb AP v1 manual from 2004 in the glove box, but no sign of the actual ap. I have no idea if the car has a tune on it or not. What I want to know is if I buy a v3, will I be able to install a new map onto the car if it has a tune or the previous ap wasn't unmarried?
best bet would be to ask cobb, i believe their email is support@cobbtuning.com i know if you buy the v3 it will take whatever tune you have on there now and save as the "stock tune" but i am not sure if the v1 un married or not would lock the tune and make it unchangeable. maybe someone who knows better will chime in. but i would def ask cobb.
Not sure, but i think what brfatal was getting at is that you should use your boost gauge to see where your peak boost is. this way if you have say a stage 1 tune your peak boost would be higher than stock. i think you hit peak boost at around 3.5-4k rpm's if im not mistaken. if you check cobbs website just check your years map notes, and find that info there. :nerd:
