Give them a call. I think they will unmarry it for you for a nice little fee.

gone doesn't necessarily mean sold, whatever happened wasn't voluntary. i'll definately give cobb a call then as much as i wouldn't like to pay for something so simple. anybody else got any ideas?

i actually ran into the same problem, except i bought a married V2 for dirt cheap. i called Cobb and they said if there is proof that something happened to the car (i.e., totaled, stolen, etc), they can reboot it for a small fee. if not, they'll charge $395 for a reboot...which sucks, but looks like that's what you get for paying next to nothing to get the thing!

You need the cars ECU that it is married to or Cobb, no other way to do it.
