did I do a bad thing?

I was told by someone that did a lot of mods to take out the restrictior pill. I havent noticed a difference, i don't have a boost gauge to tell me of any changes in boost anyway.
After trying to find information about doing this on this sight I have come to a conclusion that taking it out was probablly a bad thing to do. Should I put it back in?

In the process I broke a couple vaccume lines because they were so brittle and I replaced them with vaccume lines I bought at checker. one of the lines broke at the T and it had hard plactic inside it I'm guessing for shaping it.

Should I make a trip to the subaru dealership and put the stock hoses back in?

Try to get the correct hoses with the pill and put them back in. The pill basically helps the boost controller to control the boost. You might not notice the difference at a stock level since the waste gate spring is able to hold around 9-11 psi. But it is best to keep it how it was designed.
In any case, to speed up the boost control process I was advised by my tuner to flip a tee at turbo so the boost controller to wastegate is in a streight line and compressor side to wastage is a 90 degree bend. Thus supposedly slowing down the air flow to wastegate and makes the control system able to hold higher pressure longer.

Im not sure about the hoses. If they were the same diameter should be fine. But the restrictor pill helps to regulate boost. Im pretty sure you migh want to put that back in.

Uuuhhmm....lets see.You have no way of measuring how this mod could effect your car in a negative (way less boost) ,or as I say, a positive/negative way(way to much boost) yet with out researching it you willy nilly just remove random parts?Put it back in.With out it you will just be running wastegate pressure (8psi) instead of normal boost pressure (13.5 psi)

I agree with everyone here put it back in. Do the research yourself and don't rely on others when it comes to your car. If the person that told you to do it had a bunch of "mods" done, I can only imagine what they are if your getting that kind of input. OR they don't own a subaru/know how to mod them.
