Cobb AP dies when starting the engine

I just updated my Cobb AP manager to 2.0.2.3 and loaded some maps for my 2004 Subaru WRX. The AP connects up to the car just fine initially, but as soon as I have to turn the ignition to the on position the AP dies and I have to disconnect the battery on the car before the AP will power up again. AT the moment the car also will not start. It turns over but isn't even trying to fire up. I had the car running before I updated the AP manager, so I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the STI 6 speed trans I recently installed. AP manager is showing my AP up to date with version 1.6.4.0-1960. I have the "Red C" OBD connector. Posted on cobbs forum with no luck. I found a burnt out fuze and replaced it, but it just turned out to be an ABS thing. I noticed I was in valet mode (I think) so I hit the blue button on the FOB and opened the door and that has the security light off. I checked all the grounds under the hood and everything looks normal. I tried booting the AP with the car and the laptop at the same time which keeps the AP on with the ignition, but it still wont connect to the ECU to do anything. I noticed the gas light was on and the gas gauge read empty so I put some gas in it, but still no change the gauge or the light. The car still won't start, or even sputter when I turn the engine over. And now my battery is dead from all the starting and I have to let it charge. This is very irritating.

Yeah it sounds like your ap may have some issues. I would try and call Cobb. There is a phone number right on the web page. I hear they have great customer service.

I guess it was a loose ground on the intake manifold. All is well.
