Cobb AP Custom Maps

Hey guys,

so my 2005 wrx currently flashed at stage 2 with a catless DP/UP/CBE (only engine related mods).

I have a CAI on the way and have a greddy rs-BOV installed.

I looked on the COBB website for their selected maps, and I am a bit confused. I dont see, atleast i think i dont see, any maps that closely matches my mods. I was wondering if you guys knew of any maps or custom maps that would be best suited for my setup with my COBB AP. I have a tech friend who works at subaru so maybe I could take it to him and see what he could do, but just wondering what you guys would do.

Thanks!

I also plan on getting a larger top mounted intercooler but that wont be for a while.

You would need someone that either has the Cobb Street Tuner software, or go to an actual tuner to get tuned/tweaked for those mods. There really isnt anywhere that you can go to get free maps to download, other than the base maps that Cobb has on their website.

Yeah, I figured as much..ha. Do you know a rough estimate of the price it would be to take it to a dyno? I'm not too worried if it's $150+ but if it's about $300+ then I'll be a little iffy, but I guess that'll depend...

My bad, dyno+tune, so if it's around $300 then I think It'll be okay..

$300 is a little low but in the right ballpark for a custom tune saved into an AP map for you.

yeah, I checked on google and some sites I saw came up with an estimate of around that much too. I emailed 2 shops in town so hopefully I get a response from them soon.

Best thing to do is look for when a shop is doing a "dyno day", where thats their main focus all day (or even weekend). Its usually cheaper because of running so many cars. I spent around $300 for my tune, took just over an hour and I got around 10 maps.
