cobb AccessPORT stage 2 map help
 
i flashed to stage two with all supporting mods.been driving the car around for days with no problem,but never really gave her hell until last night. i went out to the back roads and played around with the tune a bit. after about a good hour of driving the check engine light begins to flash and then she gets put into limp mode. its throwing codes of cylinder missfires and running to rich on bank one.we sit and park the car(at this point temp is around 200).about 15 mins pass the temp gets down around 190 and we start it up,its out of limp mode and is driving fine with no codes present.now at this point im like "WTF". has anyone ever run into any issues like this before with an ots map.im going to call cobb later today and see if they can help. i have all the supporting mods that cobb ask for on stage two,so im lost.the car did sit 4 months without running with a full tank of gas in it,so wondering if the fuel is bad or maybe injectors or dirty.thanks for any help

You might be running into the same issues as AllExtinct in the other thread.

Is it the random/multiple misfire CEL ?

Also Im assuming when you say all the supporting mods you mean just a turboback exhaust and maybe a catless uppipe right. Because if you don't follow their mod list exactly the tune will be wrong. But yeah as stated above it could be the same issue. Especially since the car did sit for a bit. Let us know bc this issue seems to be showing up pretty often. Even with my car...which is due to plugs that i havent had time to change. But i have been kinda babying my car around for the most part.

Winter blend on gas is gone now as well. Have you ever changed the fuel filters, plugs or coilpacks ?

yes its random cels at 1st it was cylinder 1 and 2 then later it became missfires and running rich.i have no issue just daily driving it,drives fine.i have not changed the fuel filter or coil packs. the plugs were replaced about 30k miles ago before i reflashed. im going to put some fuel injector cleaner in it and change the fuel filter. and yes i followed the cobb ap to the "T".

I only get Cel if I push it in 3rd mainly, it hesitates a little in 2nd but not as bad as 3rd.
The only reason I found out Im getting misfires is because I was trying the DYNO option on AP.
Im not getting any other code besides Misfire 1&2.
But if I drive it nice no code?

Some more information would help like your exact mods, type of gas (91, 93?) and version number of the Cobb Stage 2 map.

cobb stage 2 93 map with all supporting mods. the spark plugs have been changed

So the plugs JUST got changed or 30K ago ?

Don't you 02 guys run platinum plugs? What I'm trying to do is get the misfire to just one or 2 cylinders to switch the coils to see if you get the same misfires just on a different cylinder(s). Will rule out the coils.

When is your protune scheduled?

called cobb about the issue. he told me that there must be a leak some where. he told me to replace all gaskets and go from there. he also talked about faulty front o2 sensors.he also said to make sure that the egt valve that i didnt put back into the uppipe still needs to be connected and "trick" the car to think its still in by using a resistor in the plug.

I don't mean to contradict Cobb, but I've had my EGT sensor for the up-pipe unplugged for two years. The Stage 2 Map turns this sensor off, so I doubt that's your problem.

ya and thats what i tried telling him,but he stated that its just something i should look into.but i also told him if that was the issues would the ap throw that code on the ap and he said yes. so far no code for that so egt issue is on the bottom of my list.

its most likely a leak.

If you guys log AF Learning A B C D that should tell you if theres a leak. If they are higher than +-5-8% you probably have a leak.

come to find out my bypass valve was not tightened all the way.now it runs fine
