cobb accessport?

my buddy and i have a 04 and a 05 wrx and want to get a accessport do we have to get 2 APs or can we use one to tune both cars. Cobb told us to use two but i just wanted to know the truth because they are interested in selling units. They told me that i would have to unmarry the AP on the one car which would return it to stock and marry it to the other car, but i wouldnt be able to run stages on both cars at the same time.
Does this sound right?

Yea it sucks you would think you could get around that but they are correct on that you can only use it on one car at a time.

Yep, thats right you have to get off your wallet and buy two. I would look for used ones, better bang for your buck.

Yeah you could do that, but that would get annoying after awhile. What are your planse for your car? Have you looked into opensource tuning?

Why not look into opensource then? Its cheaper than even a used AP. I mean I have an AP and I love mine, but if thats it I wouldnt worry too much about an AP. But thats ultimately up to you.

Open source is and downloadable program that will allow to tune your car. Will also need a special cable, about $75.
Downloads - OpenECU
