AFR for 98 fuel?

Hi there ... complete noob who has done too much yet not enough reading on romraider tuning ...

the thing is they keep saying target AFR 11.1-11.3 but that is for 91-93 fuel ... what is the optimal AFR for 98 fuel since it is more resistant to detonation? same as the rest? or closer to 12?

93 Oct converts to 98 RON, so that's about where it should be. Really depends on how the map was set up.

depends on the setup but around 11:1 is good, the leaner you go the higher egts get and then you melt stuff.

Leaning it out will help.... but If I'm not mistaken other parameters need to be adjusted as well. Keith and others may know more

Yes you need to adjust timing, fuel, wastegate duty cycles and all kinds of things. The 9-10 AFR is a safety feature to keep the motor from blowing up. I have seen Cobb even use numbers that low.

Kind of unrelated, but it is...Do the NZ cars run the same ECU as the Aussie cars?
