adding restriction

hello all,

this might be a little srange of a question, since the majority of owners want to open up the air flow...
I want to put a cat converter back onto my exhaust system. What would need to be re-adjusted in order to compensate in the exhaust flow? I assume the EGT might go up a little bit, so perhaps adding fuel or minor changes in timing might be appropriate...
Basically, by restricting the exhasut flow, what negative consequenses are to be expected?

As always, thanks for reading and any ideas

he probably wants to make his car legal. put the cat on it and reset the ECU that would be everything you need to do.

Are you saying that the ECU will relearn and adjust by itself to the setup?

And as far as power, i understand that a stock cat is very constricting so i will get a randon technologies high flow 3 inch cat. It should be almost not noticible as far as power.
The reason i want a cat installed back in the exhasut stream is the personal preference over the emiting gasses being harmfull to my family and the environment.
I did pass emitions two month ago, so that's not of concern...

Nonetheless, if there is restriction put back into the exhaust system, what if any bad reaction can or should be expected from the ECU?

Thanks, Keep them coming...
