accessport question...

So my 2004 wrx starting throwing a CEL recently and I dug out my v2 cobb accessport for the first time in years to try and read the code, but when I plug the cobb into the obd2 - the AP just stays on the white screen that occurs right when you plug it in. How long should it take before the AP takes you to the main menu? I waited around 5 minutes and the AP seems to just get stuck on the white power up screen.

Here is exactly what I did...I plugged in the AP and then turned the key to "on" mode without starting the engine. Am I just doing something stupidly wrong here?

Some more info- when I plug the AP into my computer, the same issue happens. It just gets frozen on that first white screen that says "AccessPORT"

Sounds like your stuff is broken.

The AP needs service... send it into COBB and have them look at it. Had the same prob and they fixed it for free due to a bad batch of screens that went out.

Good luck

Thanks guys, I guess I will be calling them on Monday to see what the deal is. pzr2874- did you screen go out completely? Mine still powers on, but just gets stuck at the first white screen. I always remember it taking a while to get to the main menu, but not 5 minutes.

Try plugging the ap into the computer. It needs an update for sure.
