AccessPort '10 WRX vs. '09 WRX

I was just browsing the Cobbtuning website and got curious about the '10 WRX Accessport. So I went into the Power link and found this out.

Stage 1:

'10
HP 8.6% TQ 14%

'09
HP 16% TQ 21.8%

Stage 2:

'10
HP 16% TQ 20.5%

'09
HP 19% TQ 28%

It looks like Stage 1 on the '09 model is just as good as Stage 2 on the '10 model. I don't believe there's any changes in the advertised power. Any ideas? thoughts? suspicions?

Smokin'Joe is more helpful than not
I imagine since so many of the '09 engines had to be replaced, Cobb is covering it's butt until Subaru proves it's back on the ball with quality assurance and all that in their manufacturing plants... I blew my engine and once I got the new one and broke it in it's been balls to the wall! Now I'm curious as to what the STI is getting out of it in the comparison for '09 and '10 models... Then I'll compare that to the WRX, lol. Good information though. I read this on another site, but not as well laid out (more jumbled together).

Only use roads to get to the dirt; Then keep it sideways! >;D

another thing I noticed is that the stock hp and tq curves look different between '10 and '09. I wonder if the stock tune is different and yet it yields the same peak hp and tq numbers!!!

If cobb is "trying" to cover its butt with the engine problems on the 09, why dont they match the 2010 model? Common logic right?
