I wouldnt buy an APV1, Cobbs not supporting them (or will soon stop). They had a thing going on awhile ago about trading in the AP1 for a credit towards an Ap V2.

I found that cobb still list the maps for the V1 on their website and the 2006 is supported...
I just want a cheap way to go stage 2 since i already got my catback and downpipe.
I dont plan to go any further on performance mods for now so i think the V1 might do the job for me...
I see that they still support it. They had something on their site awhile back, about 3 or 4 months ago about it. Maybe since things with the economy and all have been so bad, maybe they are continuing for now. Idk, I have my V2, just got the newest updates, now I can data log and few other nice things. You might want to talk to a tuner(s) in your area to see what they think or support also.

My tuner was begging me to go get a V2. For one he said Cobb won't be supporting the V1 soon, and the V2 is way easier to work with. But if you just want to reflash once, I don't see what the harm is if you'll save enough to make it worth it. I'd suggest just getting all the maps for the V1 you might ever possibly need now, and I don't see why your tuner couldn't use the V1 in the future should you need a custom tune.
You should also know that reflashing is a 7 to 10 minute ordeal with a V1. Like watching paint dry.

Thats exactly what i wanted to know, for the price i got it, the V1 will be perfect, i just want to flash once.
and cobb still has the valet, anti-theft, and economy mode maps for the V1 so get those too while there still there...they really are a nice thing...if I didnt spend the amount of money i did on my Gadiel Tune i would definitely have an AP just to have those

If you are just loooking to reflash once and be done with it, why not look into opensource, or just a tune right from a shop/tuner?
I dont know for the open source thing but it cost me more to have it tuned by a shop than buying a used V1 AP that will just do the job for me.
And at least i have some control over the tunes with the AP.
Thats true for the most part. But if you get it tuned by a shop they will be able to get more power and even more smooth of a tune for you. Nothing wrong with the Cobb AP, I have been running stage 2 for 9 months now, but the Cobb maps are just generic and do run a little rich. But you will be happy with it. Thats pretty much all that matters.
