07 wrx accessport+tune?

Im having a little trouble guys, sorry if this question has been answered somewhere. First off, I am stage 2 with a cobb catted turboback/AP. I really was looking forward to getting a protune. I am from Elgin and I contacted AMSperformance in West Chicago. They said they do not tune with the accessport because it has too many probs. The do an opensource for $395. So this means my accessport would be totally useless then right? Unless I wanted to check CELS. I really want to find someone who will do a tune and put the map on my AP. Let me know what you think.....guess I could always put the AP up on ebay, but I do like the AP. Anyone know of other reputable tune shops close to Elgin with a 4wd dyno that might tune with the AP?

you can find a tuner that can work with the AP. cobb still provides tuning as well as PDX.
I currently have a tune through PDX and am suffering no problems.

yeah im having a hard time believing that there is only tuner in Shaumburg w/access to a 4wd dyno.....Im looking though. Now im debating on the spt intake...I know it is crap without a tune but has anyone had experience with a tune for it on a similar stage 2 2.5 REX?

yes and thanks for the link by the way. The lady that answered the phone at Northbrook said she didn't think they had a 4wd dyno. She said they mostly cater to mustangs. Maybe she has no clue?? Waiting for a call back from the Naperville place.

that's pretty crappy service if she "thinks" they dont have one, they probably have a mustang awd dyno atleast according to that link.

A tune is not really required. The SPT is compatable to Cobb's maps and it doesn't mess up the MAF readings. Which is why most of the other intakes need a tune. It wouldn't hurt anything to get a protune. But the intake should be fine as is....with the stage 2 map.
