05 map on an 04?

A friend of mine with an 04 WRX wants me to upload the stage 2 map that I have for an 05. I told him that it may F up his car, right?

If it's a generic stage 2 map it'll work fine. No major changes 04 to 05. If it's a custom map for his car, then it doesn't matter even if they were the same year. It should only be used on his car.

Cobb's Stage2 map is the same for the 04 and the 05.
