Question Turbo and Transmission swap

i am not sure that i chose the right section for my thread (hope it is) , so anyway , i own a 2005 TS and plan on swapping a WRX Engine with a STI Tranny , but i have some questions before getting to buy anything
i plan on a VF48 with an EWG for the JDM EJ205 i will get , as i heard from some people it's not possible to make such a swap without a standalone ECU since that the JDM ECU's cant be tuned , is it true ?
also about the STI trans. swap , it will be a 2005 STI transmission with the differential , hubs , axles , Control units , will i face any problems fitting it to the VF48 JDM EJ205 ? and also was planning to fit a Big brake system since i wont be getting the brembo's , is there any difference between the USDM and the JDM Spindles ? , also for the coilovers , is there any difference between the USDM and the JDM suspension ?.

JDM ecu is tunable. And the turbo has nothing to do with trans fitment.

You can buy a complete STi clip with motor and trans. It would have what you'd need to do the motor and trans swap. I'd use the EJ207 long before using the EJ205.

JDM EJ205 is not the same as the USDM one. Higher compression and AVCS.

You're gonna need a JDM WRX ECU to run this motor. And of course it will require a tune.

i am aware of that , what i meant to say that i heard from a guy with a JDM WRX that the JDM ECU is not fully tuneable like the USDM is that right ? also is there any difference in the suspension between the JDM and the USDM ?

Why wouldn't it be tuneable? Just need to figure out which EM works with the JDM ECU and hope it has a language selection other than Japanese.

Keith's kind of a expert in the 2.0 L game Laszlo. I think he knows what a EJ207 is.
