Tranny problems. Hard to go into gear and no neutral?

Hey peeps. I need some help.

I just changed out my block and my mechanic put everything back and the car starts and everything just fine.

But he is saying that it is hard to get into the gears and that it is like there isn't a neutral. When he trys to put it in neutral it goes into 5th or Reverse.

What could be the problem?? Pls any help I can't afford any more money on this car so I am hoping it is a little fix. Could it be mounting issues on the tranny, or anything to where the shifter is or the bushings?

The tranny worked fine when I messed up my block so I don't get it.

And it happened RIGHT after he did the block install ? I bet Lil Shoaf would be able to help on this. He can probably do it with his eyes closed.

Almost bet he didn't re-align things correctly. PM Ken

if it worked fine before he installed the engine, it has to be the shifter linkage, or possible he didn't get the shifter fork properly aligned with the throw out bearing.
