STi shifter?

i'm looking into STi shifter... why dont I hear anything about these? are they any good? does anyone have it? I felt a WRX at the dealer with the short shift kit and it felt really good.. is it the same unit?

The one you felt at the dealer was most likely the STi shifter. I think most people find the STi shifter a little pricey as it includes the whole linkage, not just the shifter. For the same feel, and much less cost, you could pick up a Kartboy short shifter and shifter bushings. I've had one in my car for over a year now and it's held up like a champ!

Is the short shifter kit which comes with the car supposed to rattle and vibrate alot? Mine has been and the service guys at the dealership said it is normal with this shortshifter.

That's bull man! My STI S/S does not rattle nor vibrate at all and I installed it myself. Something is not right with yours if it rattles and vibrates alot. Go back and have them fix it under warranty if it was a purchased option.
