Slipping clutch

I have a cobb AP running a Stg 2/Stg 2 HWG (Flash/realtime) setup, perrin lighten crank pulley, TBE (obviously), AEM CIA. I know im gonna hear, "get new clutch and learn to drive." Well.... I'm looking for a new clutch and i need some suggestions on some good ones for street and drag applications. Im also changing out the flywheel. Just because i dont feel like getting the stock one turned. What's too light? I dont have a roof vent so I DO need A/C. I do want it lightened though.

Well, most people on here will tell you to get a new OEM clutch. The more "grabbier" a clutch is, the more stress it puts on the tranny instead.

I may be missing some info, but I don't see what a lightened flywheel has to do with A/C.

stay with the stock clutch and flywheel.
if you have a "grabbier" clutch it has a high possibility of killing your tranny.
as for the turning of the flywheel. i had mine done recently. and so far no problems to report.

Ok. I forgot to put my goals and what not. I'm definately rebuilding the tranny because im looking to push 450 whp. PPG gears FTW. So with the rebuild a "grabbier" clutch is no problem right? And yeah theres already been a post on here about a guy who was having problems with the lightened flywheel and A/C.

I don't think you'll have a problem then. life would work a lot easier (maybe not on your pocket book) if you did it all as a package instead of piecemealing it out. Good Luck.

Since your running cobb AP i would suggest checking out their Access Tuner Race program.

Ok. So i got my new clutch. How come nobody has any kinda instructions on how to put it in. I'm looking for torque values mostly. It's a Stage 1 Exedy organic clutch kit.

Ok nevermind i found something. This is some good info.

How to: 02/03 clutch and flywheel - NASIOC

Nice, how much did you get it for?

And to answer your previous question, I assume so that you'd be able to run a grippier clutch with good ol' PPG's. But you might as well let the clutch you just bought run out before upgrading

I would get the PPGs BEFORE the aggressive clutch, not the other way around. Besides, once you get PPGs, you're going to want a more aggressive clutch than the one you mentioned.
