Does anyone believe that hitting a deer while in gear can cause drive line shock and then failure to the transmission?.. becuase i hit a deer on new years and now a week later my trans is roached. just seein what anyone else thinks about it

Can it cause shock? Yes. Enough to suddenly break a transmission? Not unless this deer was wearing a blue suit with a red cape.

Keep in mind that damage and wear are accumulative. If a gear broke off a tooth suddenly it was most likely the product of wear and tear.
