Shifter bushings + short throw?

Will the kartboy shifter bushings make an improvement or even work with the oem short throw kit?

Yes they do help. I have the Kartboy busings, my special brew of redline tranny fluids and the short throw shifter. Makes a VERY noticeable difference. Piece that with the tranny mount and you will be shifting happy

I've got the tranny mount, engine mounts, and engine pitch mount. All of those together made a huge difference in feel. The car actually felt more responsive, especially at a fast launch.

3 quarts of MT-90 and 1 qt or shockproof superlightweight. For the rear diff if you plan on doing that, get some 75W90NS gear oil. It only takes like .8 quarts so one bottle is fine for the rear.

I like the kartboy shifter and bushings in my car - the shifter is the major diff. in feel, while the bushings are harder elastomer and serve to reduce some of the slop - I took others reccomendations and did the Redline fluids and shifting is noticeably smoother - too bad I didn't do it before blowing two synchros - Make sure to get the right funnels for fluid change - see this site for expl. w/ pictures http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/

I have the B&M short throw and love it, it has a nice firm feel and noticable shorter throw not just a shorter handle. I do plan on doing the bushings soon to improve it even more.
