reverse

I got a question about reverse i just bought a 06 wrx couple months ago and i notice its sometimes hard to get it into reverse. I have to sometimes move forward a bit then it will go into reverse. Is this normal, never had this problem with my other manual.

I have an 07, and when I was driving mine I do remember actually havingan easier time getting into first (which many coplain about) than getting into reverse. It seems kind of common to me.

I am fairly certain it is normal since reverse is not syncroed. I find that putting the car in 2nd and then reverse works best since 2nd and reverse are on the same linkage or wahtever.

its a straight cut gear with no syncro. so if it dosnt line up your hitting a wall essentially. all you have to do it release and re-engage the clutch. nothing more.

my wife never misses, I miss 2 out of 3 times continually. You just nudge the wall, disengage and try again. I did it all the ####ing time. The STi's Reverse is much easier to get into though.
