From cobb---Shockproof Expensive but a good oil for those who are abuse to the transmission/rear end and/or do quite a bit of racing. Use the SuperLight rated oil. Not a requirement for everyone but good stuff nonetheless.

Looks like you needed to read it first. I don't really see where it does not recommend using it. People could run water if they want in their tranny, but seeing how subaru trannies break on even stock cars, shockproof can only help, there is nowhere to go but up. Synchro wear has never been shown by anyone to be affected by shockproof, and if anything my lack of grinding gears is better for the tranny. Superlightweight is overkill though, heavyweight is what I run, and lightweight would be better for colder climates.

I run heavyweight, most people run lightweight, it will probably be fine.

You will be fine with the light weight. IBAUCLAplaya uses regular weight and he has no problems, he also auto crosses alot causeing more abuse on the tranny.

You need a bit of both in your tranny, the bearings want lubrication and your synchros want some friction, thats why you should use both in your tranny to keep everyting working good together.
