im gettn my wrx with in the next two weeks, and i really dont want to run the risk of breaking gears once i get it. i dont intend on hammering or launching at all with the car. i just would like the added comfort or knowing that my gears wont crap out on me

The only way for that is PPGs then. Not really any other choice out there.

I've had my 05 for almost 3 years, 33K miles, I autocross it more or less once a month and still my tranny is mint. Granted, I drive like an old lady on the barbaric streets of South Florida, but every once in a while I open it up and let it loose. Mine is not too far out ther on mods but still, I think if you don't abuse it it won't break.

Good luck!

2006wrxturbo is an unknown
After reading page 58 in the december 07 Subie sport, i have more faith in RA gear strength. The time attack car is holding 410whp and torque with cryo treated and micropolished RA's. Ratio's are a different story tho. I'll keep waiting on the Touge gears.
