Hello, I'm just nearing the end of a clutch install on my 2004 wrx. I used a exedy oem clutch and competition lightweight flywheel. I installed the fork and release bearing onto the input shaft. Then the flywheel, disk and cover (with release bearing clip attached) to the engine with an alignment tool. I had trouble initially getting the input shaft to spline to the clutch disk but got the engine and trans together finally. I bolted it all together. The release fork has a half inch gap between the fork and clutch slave pushrod. I tried pushing the fork torwards the firewall and it never "clicked" into place. The release fork can be moved quite a bit and I know it is not engaging to the clutch fingers via its clip. Is this the only possibility and it will require pulling the trans to examine for damage? Or am I over looking something. This is my only car and I was hoping I wouldve had it done yesterday... Thanks in advance.
