Need New Motor

Hey

Yesterday my daily driver threw a rod and I was wondering if anybody had any sugestions on where to buy a new replacement EJ20 and a place to have it installed in the orlando area.

buy an ej25, the motor from the sti's/06 and newer wrxs. there are numerous websites where you can find them. heres one

I've seen loads of EJ20's on my local classified's. Check your local Craigslist, people are doing swaps all the time, so they can be had for as little as $200 to $400 (used with 70k - 100k). If this thing is just your daily and you don't care about more power. If you do then the above routes would be excellent ways to go, since you're in there.

I'm really just looking for something stock b/c I have a 03 sedan for a daily driver and I'm still paying for the stuff in my wagon.

Then start keeping your eye out on Craigslist, Nasioc classified, and the classified sections on here. They can be had cheaply. I'd throw in a new set of rings while I had the bottom end in front of me if I were you. That part isn't too hard, but you could have your mechanic do it. Shouldn't cost too much extra.
