Lots of troubles

First i wanna say thanks to anyone who reads this ### theres a lot going on with my tranny. First, i have alot of trouble getting it to go into 1st gear at a dead stop even with the clutch all the way in. 2nd, when it does go in sometimes it will grind a bit even after i have been sitting for a few mins. 3rd, sometimes when i press the clutch in when i shift, before actually switching gears it will grind, only happens occasionaly but still. Finally, it sometimes grinds right when i shift to fourth gear. Im positive im pressing the clutch all the way in everytime. My warranty ran out about a month ago so i cant really afford to take it to a shop. Any one have any ideas? Sorry for all the q's. thanks again for looking.

wow is that all? lol i was expecting at least clutch and flywheel, or possibly a whole new tranny. So i have TBE and im soon getting an uppipe, i also plan on turbo upgrade and supporting mods down the road, would you guys suggest an o.e.m or maybe stage 1 or 2 clutch? I heard on here that an upgraded clutch was hard on the gears.

swap the gear lube for something nice for at least once cycle while your at it. you can go back to the cheap stuff after but if your over 60K miles it would be advisable to send some quality lube through there once.

if it was me, i would but some dirt cheap gear lube, run it for 20-100 miles then swap it again for the quality. you probably have nice chunks by now. look at the threads regarding the uber lube cocktails.

been using royal purple for everything since i got the car at 32k, now at 50k. changed it out in may of this year. My tech said there was a small trace of metal flakes, but nothing serious.

your problem sounds like that song by the Beach Boys ( little honda) lol, but anyways i would stay with a OEM clutch, which is an Exedy, and make sure to get your fly wheel resurfaced, or you can buy like an ACT do not go with a really light one though, and second i run Red Line Shockproof gear lube and that is the best stuff i have ever had in any of my trannys,
