Out of curiosity, what lube do you plan to use when the tranny is upgraded?

Im kind of curious about this also. I will be upgrading my tranny to the gears DS1 makes and was wondering if I should just stick with subaru OEM or not.

Good deal. I will be talking to them again when it comes closer time to do my build. OP, did you by chance talk to the guys at DS1? What transmission are you going with?

I've been double clutching 5th for a few months now, I'm going to try it next change. Course, I just changed it 3,000 miles ago and I only drive about 6,000 miles a year so it looks like I'm double clutching for another 3 years or so

plannin on straight cut 1-4 and leavin 5th stock, never gonna reach 5th anyway in race. if i could find sti tranny on ebay or somethin for cheap, im probably gonna grab that. but if i end up with enought cash, just rebuild. i luv 5 speed.

and hey mosc, try it out. its been a few days and this transmission feels new. a lot more stiffer too. and my 5th was a lil messed up, i double clutched alot. cocktail fixed it. when i poured the fluids in, the castrol was so thick. it was like honey. i think thats what fixes everything. what u fluid running though now

clord05wrx, no problem. I'm not worried about sidetracking a thread started with a borat picture LOL! I've been thinking about trying to get a monthly restaurant meet together. I would probably do something in the KOP area (freeway cross for most of us). Send me your email address, I'll try to include you.
