Factory short shift. How do you know?

Is there a build sheet or option sticker somewhere on these cars where I could find out if I'm equipped with the factory short shift option? Just got the car not long ago, and am not sure what came from the factory on mine.

TIA.

It should say on the window sticker. At least mine had it on there. If you don't have that, go to a dealership/ used car lot and run through the gears, you should be able to feel the difference.

All i can suggest then is to fin another 04 (just to be sure everything is the same) and shift the gears. Even though my window sticker said I had a short shifter, it didn't feel like it to me. The next time I was at the dealership, I test shifted a couple of cars, one with and one without, and sure enough, there was quite a big difference.

If you pull off the part of the center console with the shift boot on it and get it out of the way it will be very easy to tell. The regular shifter is black and very thick. The Factory short shifter is gold and is one thin piece of rolled metal.

My name is Ken and I am a HP Junkie.

Ya I know this is a little late, but I happen to think I didnt have a short throw shifter, but I do, it was easy to tell you can feel the thickness differnce through the boots and short throws on suby's from the dealers are really skinny.
