Garage
I did it on my 09, was a piece of cake. What do you need remedies for? I can't remember it super clearly, but you just pop the shifter out, break the front bolts and the whole assembly just pulls out correct? I am trying to picture it in my head, but it was all in all about a 30 minute job once I got it on the jacks. Pop the shifter out, pull out assembly, jack up car, break front bolt, pull front bushings, pull entire linkage out, break two bolts holding rear bushing in. Enjoy your internal gear noise now haha.

I heard after removing heat shield the rear bushings are hard to get off/on. Was wondering if a lift could help i have a buddy owns a garage. Also i heard there is gonna be noise. Is it that bad!?!? If so may reconsider if its obnoxious

A lift is easier IMHO. But Im broke, so crawling around on the ground isnt near as fun as just walking under the car to do things. And yes there is some more noise transmitted into the cabin. Knowing what I know now about my car and the mods I have. I would have stopped here as I dont recall it being that loud or obnoxious. I found the BPV from the installation of my SRI more annoying than the slight NVH from installing the SS and bushings.

A shirt shifter is one of those mods thats worth its weight in gold in my opinion. It was my first real performance mod and have loved it since day one (after sucessfully stalling the car more times than I care to admit for some reason).
