Clutch install question

I am in the process of replacing my clutch on my 04 wrx. Now when I pulled my clutch off the flywheel I noticed that the rivets dug a pretty good trench in my flywheel. I took my flywheel to a machinist and he said he could machine it and it should be ok, so he did. Well he took off .024 (24 thousands) off the flywheel, and I am just wondering if I will have any issues or problems with clearances when I put everything back together. I had an Ex Subie Dealer tech that has done a bunch of clutches and he says that I will be fine I shouldn't have anything to worry about. That there is enough play on the throwout bearing that it should be fine. I'm just trying to get second opionions or the know for sure's. ### I really don't want to spend another 350 bucks for a new flywheel!!!! TY all
