gofastwrx is an unknown
clutch adjustment

i was just wondering if there is any way to do a clutch adjustment on a 03 wrx. or do the clutches go out and i have to buy a new one. if that is so which clutch would do me best. thanks for the replies

ability to adjust aside, the clutch will eventually go out.

if its an 03, you could posibly still be under your powertrain, or your bumper to bumper warenty. if you are, i would go to the dealer, i have seen many people here have clutches replaced under warenty.

if that does not apply to you, i dont mind the factory clutch, and dont see the need for a high performance once quite yet.

As for which one to get, you're better off going with oem. Clutches are alot cheaper than transmissions.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

One other thing you can try is a trick a mechanic friend of mine told me. It sounds goofy but you can get a little adjustment out of most stock clutches by putting your foot under the pedal and pulling up REALLY hard! I'm not joking and I have tried it on an SVT contour I used to own and it worked. I don't know if its Ford related or what because he is a ford technician but it's worth a try. GOOD LUCK!
