Clutch ?

Quick question for anyone who can tell me. Do you know what the maximum ft/lbs of torque a stock wrx clutch can handle. Because the type of mods that I'm going to do, I know that clutch won't last long after. I destroyed my clutch on my eclipse when I turbo charged it. Oh well, better the clutch than the tranny.

Well, like all things, if you don't abuse them they will last forever. But, most people say that the stock clutch is good for around 400 crank hp. That's about where my car is, and I haven't had the first clutch problem. However, I know someone with a basically stock WRX who is on his 3rd clutch.

Oh wow. And you don't have any slipping or anything? It's still takes the gears nicely? I'm impressed by Subaru.

Well, I don't abuse mine. I have been to the track several times, but other than that it doesn't get run hard.
