Clicking/Crunching noise

I have a 02 WRX with 144k, bought it at about 124ks and rebuilt the tranny, new front axles, and sensors. The car has had this clicking/crunching noise before and after the tranny rebuild while I turn, I was told its the throw out bearing, but is that right?

Never been in a WRX with a bad thowout...

BUT

Clicking/crunching is NOT a throwout sound.

TO's have a whirrling sound in my experience

Tell me this, does it make the same noise with the clutch in AND out? In Neutral of course

Is the steering wheel at full lock out to the side or is it just partial?

I guess its not the throw out because the clutch, i dont think, has anything to do with it because it happens when Im already in gear going while turning. It happens in partial steering.

Is it like a binding only around corners? Does the car get jumpy?
When my front dif went out, When turning it clicked hard and you could feel it.

I got the car at 124k and it was in not-so-good condition. Had the transmission rebuilt because the syrcos were going out, but its always been jumpy. In 1st and 2nd and if its rolling in gear and I give it gas. Its not jumpy around corners more if I was going straight. If I really get on it when going around a corner at slow speeds it makes that clicking sound.

it's been a while, but this happened in my old '79 Subaru, it was the (if memory serves correctly)CV joints on the front wheels. Mine wore because the rubber boots tore and grit got inside. So, check those...

Ok. Im pretty sure he changed the cv axles but Ill check and I changed my tranny fluid for the first time since the rebuild and I found a couple pieces of teeth. I guess Ill just have to keep a eye on it.
