My 09 WRX grinds when shifting into 3rd on acceleration, however it doesn't do it if I double clutch and barley does it on a down shift. Just replaced the transmission Oil with the recomended subaru brand and it still has been doing it. What could be the reason it does this? Transmission going or Clutch? Haven't tried the "cocktail" mixes out there yet but not really trying to temporarily fix it either. Thoughts? Thanks for the input.
I think the synchronizer is going out most likely. My '00 Camaro did it in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th when I sold it (don't worry, I told the guy ) (who can say: the car was a drag queen)
Thanks for the responses. And I'll give the cocktail a try and see how it works. Appreciate it alot.
