Just caught a glimpse of the new layout. Im usually not one for much change. However it is a decent layout. My two cents, and only two complaints as of right now are: 1) I liked the fact that when you logged in before on the left side it said how many new posts since last log in. I know not a big deal, I just kind of liked it. 2) Is when you view someones profile, their pictures arent present anymore above their profile info. Again I know not a big deal, but some (top include myself) did like it. Again just my two cents, otherwise excellent job, and thank you.

Thanks for the input! The new posts feature upon log in is not present in this version of VB so we can't really help that one, and when you view a user's profile, there is a link to their gallery. Any small changes you see like this are likely due to the version update. I appreciate your comments! Thanks!

+1. I wish the Ad's were somewhere else on top. I liked how it was before this.

The ones right under the Home, Forum, Active Topics, etc. It just doesn't flow with the whole design. Maybe try just using one AD instead of having 2 AD's on top of eachother?

There are reasons behind adding the google ad placement there. The other ad is the site sponsor's ads. (vendors). Please check the FAQ as it answers some questions about the advertising. You can access it in the quick links dropdown or here. Thanks!

The header is too large in general, it's not really the adds. We had the same adds up top before. The new blue bar with navigation between the site banner and the first ring of adds has got way too much white space on either side of it. It should be condensed. Ideally, the links should be incorporated into the top banner itself to conserve vertical space.

Next, the "Please Visit our Site Sponsors" is a very small link that takes up a whole line of vertical space. This also doesn't seem to bring in revenue, not sure why it needs such a prominent position.

Also, the "Add Reply" button seems to get it's own line further wasting vertical space. Why can't it be on the same line as the banner adds or incorporated into the bar that starts "View First Unread View First Unread"

Using the same advertising space, you could cut the space between the start of the page and the first bit of actual content in HALF. And it's not a limit of vBulletin, plenty of sites manage it.

I made this as an example. It's about 30% less header:

If you removed the redundant toolbars (the blue toolbar and the Black toolbar are essentially repeats) and condensed the top image some, you could further cut things.

Good suggestions. We will discuss this further in the moderators forum as well. Thanks for the constructive input so far guys! We will be fine-tuning the site as suggestions come in from the community. Cheers!

Yeah Mosc got it! There's just too much whitespace, and seems like the page is stretched out a bit?
