Subaru maintenance schedules and new car break-in period

It's good that you replaced the timing belt - that should have been done around 100,000 miles, and the drive belts - those should have been done around 120,000 miles. Replacing the fuel pump was also probably a good idea. Generally, every 30,000 miles is a semi-major maintenance milestone. To some, all of these maintenance procedures may seem excessive, but personally, I like to know that my car is in tip-top condition. I'm the type of guy who changes his oil every 3,000 miles on the dot (+/- 100 miles) using expensive synthetic oil - some argue that's excessive too, but I like to take very good care of my car. These are some of the maintenance procedures you could do:

1. replace coolant
2. check/replace (clean if K&N) air filter
3. replace spark plugs
4. new transmission and rear differential oil
5. replace brake fluid
6. check your brake pads
7. check and/or rotate your tires
