who pops off a driver side mirror for fun!?

so i left my car at my friends place cause i was riding with him to the bar. his house is located in a pretty nice area in the town i live in. after we come back, as im walking to my car i notice eggs all over my windows and further inspect i see that my driver side mirror is gone. not the assembly, just the mirror and the plastic it sits in. i wasnt worried about the eggs cause it was all on the widows and none of it got on the paint. but i just kept looking at my mirror and wondering, wtf are u gona do with a mirror? o well. does anyone know for sure if the 04-05 sti mirror assembley is interchangeable? cause i found two on ebay and i need to get one soon.

Obviously it's a bunch of tough guys who love themselves so much that they want to be able to see themselves wherever they go.

That sucks. I've had mirrors hit with a bat before. Good thing for me I didnt see it happen or I would still be in jail from the fun I would have had with them.

If its just the mirror glass then order it from the dealership. Its not that expensive and I replaced mine a while back. You might need a thin metal knife edge tool to squeeze the plastic lip onto the mirror. Like a thin putty knife or something like this is what I used to get it in there.

Its called a 5 in 1 glazing knife. I had it laying around at my mom's house and it worked good enough for me.

oh man that sucks dude. the germans do that to americans where i live. if they see your car parked anywhere that becomes the slightest inconvenience to them they wont think twice about popping off that mirror or giving you some nice engraved graffiti on your door

Oh, the plastic too? That kills my idea then. Junk yard or pick a part. Some of the bigger yards even ship the parts out to your door.

I have no haters cause I'm super chill, even my ex gf's still love my gutz. apparently the neighbor had her mirror taken off as well. she came out wearing practically nothing so I wasn't really listening, but from what I did hear was that it was teenagers that didn't like her brother or something. anyway, bought a mirror assembly off eBay. now I need to get inspection done, pay my ticket for out dated inspection and get tint asap cause these summer days in Houston are killer.
