with all this windshield talk I gotta love having FL plates on my WRX, because if you have full coverage in FL your insurance company replaces a damaged windshield for free!

They also keep that claim on your record for 3 years and that (and the old hurricane excuse...) helps them justify why is your policy more expensive every time even when your car's value goes down as days go by...

Been there, done that. If it's something that can be fixed with those resin treatments that cost about 45 bucks, go with that instead. I had my car in Florida for a period of 4.5 years, during that time I got 3 windshield chips, imagine what would have happened to my insurance policies if I got it replaced all 3 times...

Lets see, I got:

A RAW Performance Stage 3 short block, Exedy Stage 1 HD clutch, 850cc DW injectors, Blouch 2.5XTR turbo, had the short block swapped in w/ the clutch, APR Headstuds, Master Gasket set, and a Agency Power turbo Inlet installed. Unforutnatly the build and break in got finished in the hot part of the summer season. Crappy numbers for what this build will put down in cooler and less humid weather.

You need to give e85 a try... At least make a map for it.

My tuner on his 06 or 07 STi with stock turbo made 330/368 on COBB's mustang at 4200'. E85 on your setup can easily go 400. I bet your 850's could handle it too, he has 1000cc and is only running 60% idc's.

Nice John. I just got word that my car is done (transmission, clutch/flywheel, pads, rotors, gauges, sways/endlinks, some other stuff). I cant wait to get to my car after reading about your new found love for your car.

Niiiiiice. Can't wait to hear your responses to your new setup as well. How much longer will it be before you're behind the wheel again?

My midtour is sometime in late october. I will pick the car up within the first 24hrs of hitting the states. Then pick up the kids and drive from Chicago to WV/MD to see family (and of course to test out the car).
