Had a turbo up-pipe installed [an Invidia cat-less item that I had wrapped with thermal tape], and my WRX revs a little easier and has a slightly flatter power curve. Then again, this change may be imagined.

Also installed a turbo blanket because the OEM heat shield was trashed when it was removed for the up-pipe install. Shown before- and after installation around a turbo.

However, I don't remember the merchant mentioning that my turbo blanket would smoke like a Son-of-a-Gun when it was first used!

IIRC, to put the TB on, nuts have to be loosened and then put back on.... might be the PB blaster they used to break em loose that makes it smoke.... same goes for a DP wrap..... especially with the coating added.

In 06 i believe. Part #42072Fe020 its the only filter except the one attached to the bottom of the pump. Damn expensive for a filter too!
