Was reinstalling my APR rear diffuser and JDM rear aprons last night before discovering my last poly motor mount finally gave out. $14 bucks for an OEM replacement.

I'm not sure what my rates would be, but I can assure you they won't be the mid 80's rates my dad charged.
When you build $40,000-50,000 or more race motors you have a tendency to be very...ummm anal..about how things go together and that of course carries over into even the cheap beer budget rebuilds I've worked on. Had a friend rebuild a motor for his Camaro, took me about 2.5hrs. to do the crank and get 1 piston and rod put in....they left me to go have lunch...lol

I'd like to see you put a forged 75mm crank in it an build it with lightweight internals for an 8,000rpm redline 2.2+L motor.
My current motor has a 2.0L crank so you'd get another 2.34L. Now with a 1.6L(65.8mm) you'd get a 2.1L that you could spin pretty high, theoretically(I don't know of any one that has built one yet). You also are pushing the threshold of your piston speed to the point where you'd have to really make sure everything was spot on...

I really never was a fan of stroking a 2.5 for whatever reason....I have ridden in one with a 2.7 and it was very well put together, but vibration, for whatever reason, was awful

He spent $23,000 on the motor, pretty sure it was balanced, but 2.5 have a natural roughness about them anyway...

This sounds like the build to make. Did you address any of the 2L crank oiling concerns, and what ECU would you use with a 2.34L motor?

I got a updated 05 crank with better oiling holes and used the stock ECU. With that being said I had to change the half the amounts to fool the ECU and keep from reaching the limit on the MAF. It does build a solid power band, although my turbo and cam selection is not ideal for this motor, it could easily pull just as hard as a 2.5.

I've had a productive morning for the past 2 dAys. I have changed all 4 tires o my trailer and while i had the wheels off repacked the hubs and wheel bearings with new grease. Also installed my new pioneer. Love it! Put in some led parking light bulbs. Uninstalled my ap v2 and shipped it to a buyer. Will order my v3 Friday. Can't drive it until i get it
