Trust me I wasnt offended, just letting you know...and here it is ok to make fun of srt-4s. Just not tooo much. Yeah I dont like street racers and if you have to race, bring it to the track. Soon I'm gonna race my 06 on the 1/8th mile track 20 minutes from my house. Pretty sweet deal 5 or 6 runs for 20 bucks.

thats awesome! you have a track 20mins from your place. i think my nearst strip is about 2hrs away from me. i would really like to take my car to this Open Track Day in Vegas but i think its like 300 a day. and all you need is a Apporved Helmet and a inspection of you car when you arrive. it sounds pretty fun...but im still new to driving WRX's so i need to get the hang of it first.
I don't get waves from people but when my girlfriend drives she gets waves from other REX's. That it she's not driving it anymore... Although it is entertaining when she smokes someone and they realize its a girl driving.....

There are quite a few WRXs out here in MD. I seem to get a wave about 70% of the time, especially from ones with mods. I'm definitely a fan of the wave although my girfriend thinks I'm a total nerd when I do it
Yeah I had a guy in a Legacy 2.5 GT wave to me at a stop light and then he revved hs engine but he was turning so we didnt get a go at it but I think I was louder haahah

I don't go out of my way to wave at people, but if I cruise by someone in like a mall parking lot with a rex, ill wave. The WRX isn't too common around here. I don't know of anyone near me that has one, except for maybe 1 person but I think it is highly modded. I have never seen em, but my friend did. I have seen a blue and silver rex, and an sti(can't remember color) at my school. My school has 15,000 kids, so thats not bad. Besides that, on a normal day, I don't see any WRX's.
Well, I can definatly tell you it's changed over the year here. Soo many WRX's I'm having a hard time keeping track of them all. I know ~ where like a third of them live, which is like 14, but most don't wave to me.
... not stalking them btw if that sounded odd. This is a college town that I've lived in all my life. It's a small town without the students.

I always wave to other WRX's and usually get a wave back. It does piss me off tho when they don't wave back. From my experiences, people in STI's are not friendly. (COME ON GUYS-CHANGE MY EXPERIENCES and just wave back!) Almost everyday on my way to work I pass a kid in an 06 Black STI and he has never once bothered to wave back to me, I gave up. Also, there's a kid in a 04/05 Blue STI that lives near me and he either revs his engine at me or drives up my ass whenever he sees me. If any of you are him-we're gonna fight! Otherwise, all the other Rex drivers are totally cool, altho other girl drivers are not so much. Perhaps they are just lame and don't get it, so most often I try to judge if the girl has a clue and is worth a wave, otherwise I don't bother. Too bad I'm the only one I know around here with a WRX. Hehe.
I got so fed up of people not waving, I organized a WRX meet at a restaurant on Friday. Turned out well, we had 6 show up, and 2 other owners that didn't bring their cars. Now when I pass them, they wave to me since they know who I am. Although, when I was heading to AppleBees, a WRX I didn't reconize followed me in (all the way from where I live). I thought he was there for the meet. Turns out, he was really going there to eat. Probably happy hour. Didn't even stop to chat with us.

I wish I knew other WRX people...My car and I get lonely sometimes. It would be awesome to have some Subie friends.
Jon-what'd you do to organize a meet?
