A guy at my work was following behind me the other day after work, and witnessed myself and a passing blob throw waves. The next day he questioned what he saw, and I replied...subie love man...subie love..haha
He than said, why don't I get waves from people driving the same kinda car as me. As kindly as I could, I replied.....Its because you drive a 09 Civic, and the only real thing you guys have in common, is that you buy your after-market intakes off the same shelf at Autozone...lol Than he said...yeah, thats true...hahaha

Thats funny this topic moved up.
I was driving home from work yesterday like a bat out of hell on the highway like always and I passed a Suby Legacy and I guess he wanted to race?? So I gave him a run to make it short I gave him a backhanded wave as I got off the exit because he was still behind me.
Cant say the same for the M5 that dusted me a few weeks ago.

The bike wave is great. I don't ride, but I have several friends and co-workers that do. Jeep owners are pretty good about it too. It saddens me to say that ever since the new body style came out, I have seen a significant drop in the wave .

ya its the same way in my town... when i wave to the newer subbies i kind of get the look "i dont know him why is he waving" look. it seems that the subbies are becoming more popular for just daily drivers and not tuners, which i cool by me. more subbies on the street are great. i still get waves by the older style subbies.

Well with the lack of Subaru people in my neck of the world, I really don't have anyone else to wave to.

I wave and get wierd looks a lot. What I do get alot of is thumbs down and middle fingers from anyone driving a mitsu. I can't wait to try and explain that to my wife when my 2 yr old comes home and gives her the bird!

I've been noticing getting nods from people who know what Im driving. And you can tell the ones that think you just stuck a loud muffler on it and have no idea about these cars, and they shake thier head...Not nearly as may people walk up and try to talk to you in a suby as in a VW. Thats fine with me since I'm not real big on people.
