I just got my wrx about a month ago and i past a guy in a business suit driving a stocker and he waved i was like weird, and then the more i saw wrx the more waves i got! I thought it was funny, but i always wave now and most of the time people wave back!
I find that with all my cars I wave at ot her cars of the same type. However, Ive never owned a car to this day where others of the same type will wave back!
i will wave happily at the people waving me to slow down and having a fit, (as im driving the posted speed limit, trust me, they still have a fit, its in a particular area, the sidewalk hahah just kidding) they get even madder to see me smiling and waving like we know each other. hey, its THEIR blood pressure.
i waved the other day got a wave back. i think for some it depends on the weather. sunny days = wave, gray miserable days, maybe not.
cheers
Confession time: I missed two opportunities this afternoon (one on Victory Blvd. and one on Hazeltine) to wave to my fellow WRXr. I feel pretty ashamed about it and this post shall serve as my apology if either of those white WRXs thought I was ignoring them. Both were traveling the opposite direction...
On another note, that lady who I waved to in the 07 Impreza (my vindication effort?) needs to work on looking more natural when trying to ignore others.

I wave but my windows have a lot of tint, so I think I will start flashing my lights or honking too. Either way it is always a good feeling to get a wave.
I remember my first wave, I was driving on FT Sill and this yellow bugeye waved at me. I waved back but I'm sure my face was like
Man boredom has gotten the best of me and I have been reading through some of these older threads. I (like many of you others) cant wait to get back and drive our babies around.
One of my first waves came from some guy in an 02 (crazy looking thing; black pearl, bright blue rims, crazy spoiler) that chased me down, just to roll up to me wave and say nice car.

I always wave, most people wave back, some just look confused. A while ago around Harrisburg on the interstate in a 3 lane area I had my blue WRX, and there were 2 other blue WRX's, we all drove side by side in the 3 lane and waved. Best thing was that there was a bugeye, my 05, and an 06/07 (all the styles that matter, the new WRX's don't register in my book.)
Down in Fl its like your in a subaru fraternity...lights flash, honk of the horn, peace sign, all sorts of communication...i love it hahah... on the other hand..evo drivers stare down each other like enemies..
