Well not trying to be an a$$ or anything, but you need to read up before posting. Street racing is highly frowned upon here. But for a WRX to hit 330 AWHP would just be a turbo upgrade with supporting mods (IC, injectors, pump and a tune).

If anything i would choose an S60R, i'm not a fan of the Electronic Throttle Management on the 1999 and newer cars. They've had alot of problems with them failing etc... my buddy has a 2001 V70 t5, and has battled with the dealership to warranty his ETM (problems include under load the throttle plate slamming closed, and opening partially when stopped with foot on brake) Plus my car is alot faster than an s60R, and easier to mod.

My buddies wagon

My car on it's old rims

its been my experience that v70r's are not to be trifled with. pretty fast out of the box, easy to mod, and i think slightly better suspension from the factory.

i had 3 friends with v70r's in high school and none of them had out of the ordinary issues with them. good luck maybe?

Depends on what year your friends V70r's were, 1998 had the old cable throttle system, and when ford bought them in 1999 thats when they switched over. ETM's usually last for 100,000 miles with no problems, thats why the dealerships warrantied them for 200,000 miles or 10 years. A v70R w/ my buddy driving took me out of the hole by 2 cars, (me spinning up to 60mph) by 3rd gear i was past him, and by the top of 4th 120mph i had about 4 cars on him. Also not very impressed with how they launch from a dig, it's not a true AWD system, but only converts power to the rear wheels when it senses loss of grip, in my experience with driving s60rs they tend to bog no matter how hard you launch them, and i'm not about to slip the clutch especially when the dealership charges through the ass for new ones installed.

Nice looking cars, and pictures. Glad you didnt take offense either. I know how the temptation goes. Im sure I will have some trouble with it once I get back to the states.
