haven't been able to drive the STi at all really. It's currently at the tuner getting the parts on it, new clutch, and a dyno tune. It's probably another week before I'll be driving it full time.
The handling is better than I expected it to be. The improvement over the WRX was larger than I anticipated. The breaks are huge which really scared me when I first put on my rims (they actually have more clearance than the stock BBS). The power I don't know about yet, the clutch was shot so we'll see.
So my saga continues. The turbo on the car is not a VF39... the tuner thinks it's a 16G or 18G. The clutch he pulled off was not original so I just put AT LEAST the third clutch on this car. I have no idea about the fuel system, he's going to pull the rom and to try and figure that out. It's got these gold colored Tien springs on it. Does anybody know what those are? I have the worst ####ing luck with used cars.
My WRX has a buyer lined up though, kinda excited about that.
A few pics with the fogs, OZ rims, and WRX S U B A R U trunk.
She has a stage 2 clutch on her now that needs breaking in and I'm scheduled for some injectors, a fuel pump, and a dyno tune (mustang) in June. Until then, she's just a super nasty clutch gas burning econobox but at least she's sexy
Here's the pile of parts I took off her already that I'm wanting to sell. All of it works great on a 02-05 WRX... anybody looking for a full stage 2 car with sweet rims I could hook them up for cheap (the rims ain't cheap, the rest is). http://www.mosc.com/d/parts/
It's nice to have a relatively original look for a change too. I'm really looking forward to June when I can open her up for real. Should put up some good numbers with my mystery turbo as well!
