upgrade (now with numbers!)

Well, figured I would let the cat out of the bag. The picture kind of says it all:

It's an 04, same year and color as my WRX. I'm going to move over the trunk and fog lights so it keeps the look I've grown to love. The wheels are also compatible (only year that works) so I can keep my nice silver OZs and don't have to use those gaudy gold BBS rims. I'm also probably going to remove the other decals as well. Not sure what to do with the front one...

Car had some mods on it and it's in need of some tuning so I'll keep you posted on how it goes. I'm very excited!

Anyway, the WRX is going up for sale. <25k miles on her so I don't think I'll have much trouble selling it.

PS: If one of you guys is really longing for a set of gold BBSes that'll actually fit on your car, I'm open to offers. I need a set for snow tires but I'm an aluminum colored guy Pics of rims and some other parts that need to go:

Yeah, although I'm worried my catted helix and 2.5" borla hush might be a little restrictive on the STi. The previous owner had a divorced bellmouth on there without a cat and some kind of 3" super loud thing. It stinks and it wakes the neighbors. I'm going to take the WRX back to stock (only minor bolt ons anyway) and put them on the STi, yes.

I'll take more pics after I move the wing and fogs... gotta photo the WRX too for sale. The thing's still got 3 years left on her warranty! Somebody's gunna get a really nice car.

I was looking for about 6 months before I found one I could stomach. Many were highly modded or the owners were asking well over blue book. I also have/had a very low mileage WRX (<25k currently for >4 years old) so I wasn't thrilled about switching to one >60k miles either. Also, it needed to be 04 and white because I wanted to keep my rims and swap the trunk which made it very limiting.

I finally tracked this one down for 21700 with 41k miles and in particularly good shape interior/exterior wise. I was unhappy about the mods on the car but I don't think intakes and TBEs are a huge deal. The biggest thing I bitched to the dealer about was that they had three snow tires on there (worn) and one all season radial (brand new) which is murder on the diff. I had to drive it several hundred miles like that before I got it home and could put matching shoes on her but I'm going to change the diff oil this week and if it comes out full of metal, they're on the hook to replace it.

VERY cool man! I'm digging the same looking car haha... Can't wait to see more pics... If I was in your area and actually had ANY money i'd take you up on the WRX for sale... But unfortunately i'm still stuck with nothing and needing to wait a while longer... Anyways, congrats on the new car!

You don't really realize how small the one on the WRX is until they're sitting right next to each other. In fact, there's a lot you don't realize until they're sitting next to each other.

Then I get to play mad scientist and put all the stuff from the WRX I like into the STi. MWHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Thats actually a good idea Z. Im not really into the STI interior, think its kind of gawdy and over the top. Plus there is only one choice, blue.
